Dear Colleagues,

Please join me in welcoming Ms. Donna Green as the incoming Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Services effective June 1st, 2020.

With over thirty years of key leadership positions, administration, and management experience, Green has been a wealth of knowledge, wisdom, and effective management in enrollment services, and student affairs. Since she began her tenure in 2007 in Enrollment Services, she emerged as an instrumental leader on campus. She grew in responsibilities starting with the position of Director of Academic Support & Student Relations, to University Registrar, and lastly serving twice as the Interim AVP for Enrollment Services.

Green developed effective institutional policies and procedures that increased student support while maintaining CSULB's academic and fiscal integrity. Her strategic collaborations with colleges, deans, departments, and divisions resulted in improved student communications, institution-wide tracking, and academic planning. This work became a key indicator of our increased graduation rate.

Before joining CSULB, she was the Interim Assistant Provost for Enrollment Management & Student Affairs at Massachusetts Bay Community College (MBCC). She then assumed leadership positions as a faculty member in the Business Division at MBCC.  She earned her M.Ed. in Education from Boston University and B.S. in Education from Salem State College.  She also completed her Management and Leadership Education program at Harvard University.

I want to express my sincere gratitude to Green, who willingly took on the challenging role of the Interim AVP while continuing her old duties as the University Registrar.  Despite working two different leadership roles, she made tremendous progress for our students, faculty, and staff.  We are most grateful for her remarkable service.
