Financial Assistance Grants and Fellowships
CSULB Graduate Research Fellowship: Yearly fellowship of $4,500 each semester. Graduate candidates must be nominated by faculty. One fellowship recipient per College, who: i) must be a California resident; and ii) must meet the criteria for financial aid eligibility plus two additional need-based fellowships and two fellowships that may be awarded to candidates not eligible for financial aid (including international students). Contact your College's office for more information on deadlines and application process.
Summer Student Research Assistantships: The assistantship provides financial support during the summer intersession months to undertake full-time research and scholarly activities in collaboration with a CSULB faculty (or principal investigator) research mentor. Applications are submitted through Info-Ready Space Competition.
CSULB Center for Scholarship Information: Serving as a campus resource on the complete scholarship process, campus scholarships and assisting scholarship fundraising efforts.

Sally Casanova Pre-doctoral Scholars Program: Named after Dr. Sally Casanova, this program is designed to increase the pool of university faculty by supporting the doctoral aspirations of individuals who are: current upper division or graduate students in the CSU, economically and educationally disadvantaged, interested in a university faculty career, U.S. citizens or permanent residents.

CSUPERB Presidents' Commission Scholars Program: aims to support CSU undergraduate Students conduct biotechnology-related laboratory-, field-, clinic- or community-based research.
