2026 Internship Essay Contest

Did you complete an internship, practicum, fieldwork experience, or student teaching placement? The Career Development Center invites you to enter the 2026 Internship Essay Contest for a chance to win a $1,000 scholarship.
Share how your experience contributed to your personal, academic, and professional development while reflecting on the skills and knowledge you gained along the way.
Participant Eligibility
- Must be a currently enrolled CSULB student
- Have completed an internship, practicum, fieldwork experience, or student teaching placement during Fall 2025, Spring 2026, or Summer 2026 (minimum of 90 hours)
- Be enrolled at CSULB during Spring 2027 to receive the scholarship award
- Previous Internship Essay Contest winners and CDC interns are not eligible
- Participate in a required Career Counseling appointment if selected as a scholarship recipient. This appointment will provide an opportunity to reflect on your internship experience and professional development
Steps to Enter
- Sign in to CareerLINK via sso.csulb.edu
- Click on Surveys under your Profile on the top right
- Click Respond to open the 2026 Internship Essay Contest
- Complete the form and submit by 10:00pm, Friday. October 23, 2026
