Student Learning Outcomes
The Global Studies program prepares students to understand and address the complex challenges facing an increasingly interconnected world. Through interdisciplinary study, students develop the knowledge, skills, and perspectives necessary to engage thoughtfully with global issues and diverse communities.
Upon successful completion of the Global Studies program, students will be able to:
- Analyze contemporary global issues using interdisciplinary approaches.
- Evaluate the political, economic, social, cultural, and environmental forces that shape global systems and societies.
- Apply critical thinking and research skills to investigate global challenges and develop informed perspectives.
- Demonstrate an understanding of cultural diversity, global interconnectedness, and the impact of globalization on communities worldwide.
- Communicate effectively in written and oral forms about global issues to a variety of audiences.
- Recognize the importance of ethical reasoning, civic engagement, and global citizenship in addressing international and cross-cultural challenges.
