Advising During Registration

  • Current Students: All advising is currently available via in-person, extended Drop-in Advising hours. Due to the high number of students needing assistance, please attend no more than 5 days prior to your Registration Date.
  • Incoming Spring '26 Transfers: Advising will occur in December. Visit our Newly Admitted Students page for details.
  • Returning Students: Advising will occur in late November. Check your email for updates from ATLAS.

ATLAS Advising Appointments

  • Schedule a 20-minute session with an academic advisor online (Zoom) or in person (LA1-LO0102).
  • Appointments can be scheduled up to 1 hour in advance. See instructions below.

Advising Appointments are Intended for:

The following majors and student populations whose primary advising resource is ATLAS can schedule an appointment via Beach Connect:

  • All First-Time, First-Years (Freshmen) in any CLA Department
  • Pre-Majors in any CLA Department
  • American Studies
  • Chicano Latino Studies
  • Economics
  • Philosophy
  • Political Science
  • Psychology
  • Religious Studies
  • Women’s, Gender, & Sexuality Studies

ALL other CLA Majors should see their Major Department Advisor or sign into ATLAS Drop-In Advising for assistance.

How to Schedule an Appointment

Log into Single Sign-On to access the Beach Connect tile

  • Click on the Get Assistance button (blue box)
  • Select Type of Appointment: Academic Advising
  • Select the Service: Degree Progress & Planning
  • Click on the Find Availability button
  • Filter your Meeting Type: In Person or Online (Zoom)
  • Select your preferred Day/Time
  • Review the details, input comments as needed, and confirm your appointment.

Check you CSULB Student Email for additional information about your appointment.
