Saira Naqvi

Saira Naqvi is an Anthropology lecturer at California State University, Long Beach. Earning her master’s degree in Anthropology from California State University, Long Beach, her research focuses on creative approaches to children’s nutritional education using a global perspective. Through socialization theory she developed a curriculum that teaches children health and nutrition by learning about culture, history, and geography of the world to understand why people eat the way that they do around the world and introduce them to flavors with which they may be unfamiliar.
