The Angeles National Forest, in partnership with the Hispanic Access Foundation and the National Forest Foundation, is seeking applicants for the Field Ranger Program!

Earn to Learn! The Field Ranger Program is a paid, education and skills training program for youth interested in careers with the Forest Service or working in the environmental field. We are hiring 7 Crew Members and 2 Crew Leads to work on the Angeles National Forest during the summer.

Here are just a few of the benefits for participants:

  • Paid summer youth employment program. Crew Members earn $20/hour and Crew Leads earn $25/hour.
  • From Forest Service headquarters in Arcadia, transportation/carpooling across the forest will be provided.
  • Work alongside Forest Service staff to explore careers and build firsthand experience in the field.
  • Participate in numerous trainings including a Federal Resume Workshop and a California Naturalist certification through UC ANR (available for college credit too!).
