Event Panelists:
- Environmental Resource Management
- Parth Jhaveri is a Project Managing Scientist at ERM (Environmental Resources Management), a global environmental consulting firm that he has been at for nearly 8 years. His background is in marine ecology, but as a managing consultant he works on a vast array of environmental work. He received a BS in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology from UC Irvine and an MS in Marine Ecology from Cal Poly Pomona.
- Moore Institute for Plastic Pollution Research
- Hazel Vaquero is the Data Director at the Moore Institute for Plastic Pollution Research, where she specializes in environmental data science. She holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Data Science from the UC Santa Barbara Bren School and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the City College of New York.
- California Resource Board
- Telena Vo is an Air Resources Engineer where she currently works on the certification of light-duty vehicles before they’re introduced into California for sale. Notable manufacturers she works with are Porsche and Volkswagen. She graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a major in Environmental Engineering.
- Dr. Reul-Chen is an Air Resource Engineer collaborating with and advocating for disadvantaged communities in the LA area to reduce their air pollution burden. She has a doctorate in environmental science and engineering from UCLA, and a bachelor’s in environmental engineering sciences from MIT.
- Henry Cheung is an Air Resources Engineer. He works on the implementation team of California’s regulations for in-use off-road equipment, and works on interpreting the regulations, and developing CARB’s off-road equipment online reporting system, known as DOORS. He graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a major in Chemical Engineering and in Atmospheric, Oceanic and Environmental Sciences.
