What fears or anxieties did you have about going to college?

My journey toward new adventures as a college student began with a lot of challenges like most students may have, including financial burdens, course selection, friendship, campus life, and various complications. As a first generation, first-time freshman, I was able to overcome these fears with the help from numerous intellects such as professors, mentors, advisors, counselors, including my friends.

You are starting your journey alone, but actually you will meet lots of good people around you over the period of your college career. My recommendation for first-generation students is first, you should never give up whenever and whatever so that one day you will achieve your own life goals and aspirations; the reason being is because your knowledge and skills that you will accumulate over the years during your college career will continue to grow. Second, keep a positive attitude when placed under stressful situations. Last but not least, always remember that you are stronger than you think and that whatever challenges you face can be broken down by your diligence and dedication.

My favorite hobby is learning new and arduous activities and topics. My other hobbies include camping, reading, soccer, golf, photography, and fishing.
