We help plan, promote, and protect the Beach brand through:

  • strategy development informed by market research and performance insights;
  • central communications programs across multiple market segments spanning websites, publications, email, social media, advertising, and news media outreach and inquiries;
  • the university identity system and campus standards for design and editorial style;
  • issue and incident readiness, monitoring, and response; and
  • collaborations with other university divisions on key, high-profile projects.

Jeffrey D. Cook
Associate Vice President
Jeff began his service as the university's chief communications & brand officer in 2019. Previously, he held this and allied roles at several institutions, including two sister campuses of the California State University. After completing high school and undergraduate studies in New York, he earned his master's degree in nonprofit management at the University of San Francisco.
