Welcome to AAAS!
Through interdisciplinary training in language studies, ethnic studies, and area/global studies, AAAS majors, minors, and graduate students develop valuable perspectives and communication, research, and writing skills to prepare for all kinds of fields, such as education, international affairs, public policy, law, community engagement, business, technology, arts and media, health sciences, social work, and graduate studies.
Gain language and cultural proficiencies in Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Filipino, Khmer, Korean, or Vietnamese in our interconnected world.
Develop your critical thinking skills and analytical perspectives as you learn about Asian societies and their impact - past, present, and global.
Critically examine the stories, cultures, and social justice movements of diverse Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities in comparative, relational, and intersectional contexts.
Enhance your academic success, career preparation, global citizenship, and commitment to the public good by participating in study abroad programs, community service learning, and internships.
