Last year the COVID-19-related restrictions almost caused Summer Field Geology, a capstone experience focused on developing field skills, to be canceled entirely. Thankfully, through a crowd-funding effort, dozens of Geology alumni contributed to save it.
Megan Mortimer-Lamb was awarded the H. Victor Church Memorial Award in recognition of the best poster presented at the Pacific Section of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists. Megan is a recent M.S. graduate of Geology.
Dr. Behl has been awarded the Distinguished Service Award by the Pacific Section of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (PSAAPG). Congratulations on this well deserved award!
Dr. Becker will be in residence at Curtin University, Perth Australia, working on applications of fiber optic sensing for water resources and enhanced geothermal energy in Spring 2022.
