Sarah Stanley

Sarah Elizabeth Stanley is a first-year MFA student. She is currently teaching Introduction to Modern Dance.


Sarah was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, where she began her dance training in middle school.

She is a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College, where she studied history, screenwriting, and dance under the direction of Sara Rudner and John Jasperse. Concurrently, she was a Taylor School scholarship student for five years and assistant to Taylor School director Raegan Wood.

As a freelance artist, Sarah has performed at the Valley Performing Arts Center, The Metropolitan Museum, Lincoln Center Festival, Lincoln Center Global Exchange, and Spoleto Festival USA, among others. Her commercial credits include a feature in the September 2017 issue of Dance Spirit magazine and an appearance in the viral campaign Pantsuit Power for Hillary Clinton 2016.

Sarah founded the x2 Dance Collective in 2019 with creative partner Brynn Bodair. Previously, She has danced professionally with DIAVOLO2 and The Assembly.
