Advising
EOP specializes in providing individualized advising services. Each EOP student will have a designated counselor who will meet with them throughout their time at CSULB.
Appointments
EOP appointments are designed to be spaces where students can feel known, affirmed, supported, and challenged to be their best.
Counselor Appointments
EOP counselor appointments may include one or more of the following topics:
- Personal: Getting to know more about you, your values, and your interests and goals.
- Academic: Provide general academic advising to help with course selection and degree progress.
- Career: Engage in career exploration conversations, assist with resume review and job/internship applications.
- Engagement: Find ways to get involved on campus and/or connect with peers and staff and faculty.
Get Assistance
If you are a current EOP student, here are several ways to get assistance:
- Schedule an appointment with your counselor: Utilize Beach Connect to find an appointment time that fits your schedule. When scheduling, you can also include a note with any topic you wish to discuss.
- Visit Drop-In Advising: For quick questions, stop by and meet with a counselor or peer advisor (insert link to drop-in schedule)
- Email your EOP Counselor: If you’re having trouble scheduling an appointment or have a sensitive matter to discuss, you can email your counselor directly.
