  • CSULB "No Barriers" Campaign Concludes with Over $311 Million Raised - CSULB President Jane Close Conoley announced that the university was concluding its No Barriers fundraising campaign, raising over $311 million — exceeding the $275 million goal.
  • CSULB College of Business Welcomes Mark Suazo as New Dean-Suazo arrives with a wealth of experience in higher education leadership and public service, plus a vision to establish CSULB as the region’s premier destination for business education.
  • Bachelor of Science in Applied Data Science Degree Receives Approval - CSULB will be one of the first universities nationwide to offer a Bachelor's in Applied Data Science. Applications will begin in the fall for two tracks, healthcare analytics and linguistics.

  • Two CPaCE Students Awarded at SoCal RUG Data Hackathon - Two emerging talents from the MSIS program, students Emma Rosas and Victoria Tran, recently won the Best Visualization Award at the annual SoCal RUG Data Hackathon.
  • Take a Short Story To-Go - A new short story dispenser was installed in the First Floor Lobby of the University Library. The kiosk is free and dispenses stories ranging from 1-5 minutes at the push of a button.
  • Registration for Fall Happening Now - Continuing students should register as soon as possible in order to secure a spot in their preferred classes. Students can check for holds and enroll via MyCSULB Student Center.
  • In Memoriam - CSULB management and HRM lecturer, Larry Eugene Pate, passed away this past June. We thank and we honor all the contributions of Mr. Pate on behalf of The Beach.
  • In Memoriam - CSULB retired political science professor, Dr. Barry Steiner, passed away this past September. We honor all the contributions of Dr. Steiner on behalf of The Beach.
