Provost's Message - January 2023
Looking Forward: 2023 at The Beach
Hi friends! As we ring in 2023, it is our hope that you all had an opportunity for rest, and spending time with your loved ones. A new year brings forth hope, renewal, and excitement for all that is to come, and offers each of us a chance to set our sights on the future.
It also offers time for reflection, as we look back on some of the many achievements made over the past calendar year. As a team in 2022, The Beach ranked #1 in 'Student Outcomes,' #3 nationwide for advancing social mobility, and we were elevated to a 'Doctoral University: High Research Activity (R2)' status to name a few notable accomplishments.
Make sure to check out our top news stories from 2022 to see all that we have attained together. These are just a few incredible examples of the hard work, dedication, and Beach excellence that our faculty and staff bring to campus each day.
With your continued support and collaboration, it is certain that we will go on to pave the way to provide an exceptional educational experience, and make positive impacts on our community and in the lives of our students. Here is to a happy and successful 2023 together! Go Beach!
Karyn Scissum Gunn, Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs
