OA Publishing
Open-access (OA) publishing for research articles is growing in popularity; OA publications have more than doubled in the past 5 years as more faculty wish to maximize the accessibility of their work. Many OA journals are highly regarded by researchers and have high impact factors. At CSULB, OA publications currently account for 10% of annual faculty publications, and the proportion aligns with the global trend: 13% of all 2017 publications on Web of Science were OA. This status applies to all upcoming R15 proposal submissions (There will be no negative implications, if a submission has already been made).

Research, Scholarly, and Creative Activity (RSCA) & Mini Grants and Summer Stipends (MGSS) The Division of Academic Affairs is pleased to announce the availability of funds to support RSCA and MGSS for FY 2020-21. A faculty member is allowed to apply for only one of the four awards (Reassigned Time, Faculty Small Grant, Mini-grant and Summer Stipends) in a given year. Please see the Academic Senate Policy 19-03 §3.1 for details.
