Encouraging medical professionals to adopt a patient-centered approach that considers the individual experiences and challenges of each patient. Raising awareness about the critical need for organ, eye, and tissue donors, especially within minority communities, and inspiring medical professionals to advocate for this cause. Overall, I hope the book will inspire, educate, and empower all readers to take action that saves lives and leaves a positive impact on the world.

The inspiration to share my personal journey in "The Best Of All Things" comes from my own experiences with emotional and physical trials, particularly my battle with chronic illness and dialysis. I wanted to offer hope and practical advice to others facing similar challenges, and to inspire caregivers and loved ones to provide meaningful support. By sharing my story, I aim to help others transform pain into purpose and encourage readers to take action that saves lives and leaves a positive impact on the world.

My faith played a crucial role in helping me navigate the challenges of my illness. It provided me with a sense of hope and resilience during some of the most difficult moments. I had a level of faith before the illness, but this experience was the first time that my faith was challenged. When I first received the diagnosis, my faith was really low. But having faithful people around me, speaking positively over me helped lift my spirits and my faith. Believing in a higher power and trusting that I would be healed helped me stay strong and motivated. My faith ultimately inspired me to share my story and encourage others to find strength in their own journeys.

Reflecting on the support and love from my family, friends, colleagues, and instructors over the years was a source of immense strength during the toughest moments of my journey. Their dedication and investment in my growth, through countless hours of encouragement, guidance, prayer, and care fortified my resilience. Knowing that so many people had poured their time, effort, and love into helping me succeed provided me with the emotional and mental fortitude to face my situation head-on. This collective support was a beacon of hope, reminding me that I am never alone and that I have a strong network of individuals who believe in me and my ability to overcome adversity.

If I could give one piece of advice to someone just starting their journey with chronic illness, it would be: Lean into your faith and embrace your journey with patience and self-compassion. Navigating a chronic illness can be incredibly challenging, both physically and emotionally. It's important to lean into your faith and be patient with yourself as you adjust to new realities and treatments. Allow yourself to feel and process your emotions without judgment. Seek support from other believers of the faith, loved ones, healthcare professionals, and support groups who understand what you're going through. Remember that it's okay to ask for help and to take things one day at a time. By being kind to yourself and recognizing where your strength, resilience, and healing comes from, you can find ways to manage your condition and still lead a fulfilling life.

I hope that everyone who reads 'The Best Of All Things' will reimagine what it means to leave a legacy—one that saves lives. By sharing my journey and the lessons learned, I aim to inspire readers to take meaningful actions that contribute to the well-being of others. Whether it's through organ donation, supporting those with chronic illnesses, or simply spreading kindness and hope, we all have the ability to create a lasting impact. Let's redefine legacy as a commitment to making a positive difference in the world, one life at a time.
