Scholarly Intersections Event: The Environmental and Energy Consequences of the Ukraine War

The war in Ukraine has had a wide-reaching impact on global politics as well as the daily lives of people in both Ukraine and Russia. Less discussed, but nevertheless important are the consequences of this war for the environment and for energy supplies in Europe. . Please join Professor Melanie Arndt, Professor of Environmental history at the University of Freiburg (Germany), Professor Branislav Slantchev, Professor of Political Science and a specialist on international conflict at UC San Diego, as well as our own Professor Chris Karadjov, CSULB Department of Journalism, and Professor Andy Jenks, CSULB Department of History, to learn more about how history and the war is shaping the environment in Ukraine and Europe.
