ARTES Student Showcase

CHLS 420: Chicanx Heritage in the Arts of Mexico and the Southwest invites you to an art exhibition that showcases creative works by students in Chicanx Latinx Studies (CHLS) classes at Cal State Long Beach. The work includes art, poetry, and other creative pieces that focus on the experiences and issues faced by the Chicanx/Latinx community.

 

ARTES stands for Art, Resistance, Teatro, Expression, and Song and is a new program at Cal State Long Beach created by CHLS Assistant Professor Felicia Montes. The exhibition and showcase culminate the ARTES Spring 2025 Series, highlighting professional and community-based Chicanx Latinx artists, dancers, and musicians.
