CSULB Research Programs Info Sessions
These sessions provide information about the programs CSULB BUILD, LSAMP, McNair Scholars, MARC U*STAR, MMUF, OURS Connects, RISE, and UROP. Information Sessions are held multiple times a year during the fall and spring semesters between October and February for one hour. Zoom registration is required. Please register in advance although you will be able to register up until the Info Session begins. The BUILD team was proud to host the annual CSULB BUILD Summer Symposium on July 24, 2020. This year's Symposium was hosted virtually via Zoom video conferencing. New BUILD Scholars and Fellows concluded their eight week SURGE summer reasearch expereince by presenting their research to their peers, BUILD mentors and BUILD staff in four seperate breakout rooms. This was a first and important step to their success as they pursue a doctoral degree and research career.

2020 BUILD Virtual Commencement
The BUILD program celebrated the success of trainees on Friday, May 29th, 2020 at the BUILD Virtual Commencement 2020. This commencement was held online using the Zoom teleconferencing platform due to California's Stay At Home order and concerns over the coronavirus pandemic. While we were not able to share the joy and pride we feel with our students in person, we were still able to commemorate and recongnize their accomplishments as we send another cohort of future Ph.D.s into the world.

Dear CSULB BUILD Fellows, Scholars, and Alumni, BLACK LIVES MATTER. We wish to convey a message of support for our Black communities, however limited. We understand that this statement cannot capture all of the pain and suffering that they have experienced.
