Mr. Caouette is currently a member of the LBSU New York Steering Committee. A member of Alpha Kappa Psi Fraternity, he is also a Vietnam Veteran, and served in the U.S. Army from 1965-67.

In 1970, he earned his MBA from UC Berkeley. Mr. Caouette assumed his role as Chairman and CEO of CapMAC in June of 1992, after having served as the company’s President and CEO since 1987. CapMAC is a privately-owned financial guarantee insurance company which enhances taxable securities, particularly asset-backed securities, in the public and private capital markets worldwide.

Formerly a subsidiary of Citicorp, CapMAC was established in 1987. Prior to joining CapMAC, Mr. Caouette worked for a Continental Grain Co. from 1982-86, and Citicorp from 1970-82.

He and his wife, Margaretta, live in Larchmont, NY, and have two children, Tristen and Brian.
