Curriculum - Submit Catalog Preview Edits

The edit process for the upcoming 2023-24 CSULB Catalog has begun. This is you and your team’s opportunity to review the non-curricular information for your area and to verify the curriculum changes approved in the November-December Curriculum Certification process. Follow these steps below to facilitate the process.

All edits this year are online, in OneDrive Word Documents with track changes ("Reviewing Mode").

  • Follow the appropriate link for your department/program/area listed in the email.

  • Review the content to ensure the information in the non-curricular front section (info such as department contacts) is/will be valid for the 2023-24 Academic Year.

  • Review the curriculum content (course and degree information) to verify changes made during the Curriculum Certification process are correct.
    • Note: No true curriculum changes are allowed at this time, but the Academic Programs Office will fix any typos or errors brought to their attention.
    • If you’d like to request a comparison between the text of the current Catalog and this preview draft, please send a request to catalog@csulb.edu denoting which set of changes you’d like to see.

Edit in the "Reviewing Mode" of the OneDrive Word document. These links are shareable to others in your area as long as they have a CSULB SSO login.

Use the "add comments" mode if you have any questions - or simply follow-up with us via email.

  • After review, reply to catalog@csulb.edu denoting your:
    • approval of the new draft with edits
    • approval of the new draft without edits
    • or a need to further discuss the content in the section
  • After the Program and Department review period, the Academic Programs Office will review and forward to appropriate Associate Deans for their final approval.

  • Department/Program Approval to Academic Programs: Thursday, February 16th, 2023
  • Associate Dean Approval: Friday, February 24th, 2023
  • Catalog Published: Late March / Early April 2023
