CSULB Joins CUMU!

CSULB is one of the newest institutional members of the Coalition of Urban and Metropolitan Universities (CUMU). CUMU offers unique opportunities for everyone at The Beach to participate and benefit from free workshops, a recording inventory, and virtual series.

To take advantage of your CUMU membership. Here are a few ways that Beach Community can benefit from our membership:

• CUMU Huddles - Huddles are informal opportunities to connect with other CUMU members. Huddles are by topic and  cover issues aligned with the urban-engaged mission of CUMU’s member institutions. 2023 Huddles include  Community Engagement and Impact Evaluation, Hispanic Serving Institutions, Social and Economic Mobility, and Workforce Development.
• In the Now Virtual Series -This virtual series brings together CUMU members to discuss timely, emerging issues and opportunities affecting our communities.
• CUMU Inventory - This online inventory is offered to CUMU members to explore recordings of past sessions, including the Learning & Sharing Virtual Series.
