On-campus parking availability is reducing in response to long-term campus planning, sustainability, and increased enrollment at California State University, Long Beach.
There are there are three parking lots adjacent to all the Residential Colleges (Lots R1, R2, & R3) designated for residential parking only. Students must purchase a parking permit from the Parking and Transportation Services Department. The campus does have a large student body and parking on campus can be difficult at times. Hillside and Parkside Colleges are within walking distance from the rest of campus.
Beachside College is located a mile and a half away from the main campus. Due to limited parking spots at Beachside College (Beachside Lot), residents at Beachside College are strongly encourage to use the free shuttle. Check the complete Schedule of Shuttle Service.
The University owns the parking lots, which are managed by the Department of Parking & Transportation Services, this includes residential parking permits.

You will only be able to park on campus in Lots R1 (located at Hillside between Los Cerritos & Los Alamitos Halls), R2 (Near Parkside G building), R3 (just east of Parkside across from lot R2), or if living at Beachside College at the Beachside Lot. Please note that if you move out of the residence halls, or if you move in or out of Beachside, you must update your permit with Parking and Transportation Services.
