Our Mission
The mission of the Asian, Pacific Islander, & Desi (APID) Resource Center is to cultivate an environment and programming dedicated to the support, belonging, and development of APID students. We strive to create a cohesive APID community while uplifting historically marginalized and currently underrepresented APID student groups on campus. All students, regardless of sex, race, color, national origin, and/or any other protected identity, who are interested in the program’s mission and focus are welcome and eligible to participate in APID events and programs.
Our Vision
The APID Resource Center envisions a thriving, intergenerational APID community where students are holistically supported (academically, mentally, socially, and professionally). As a cultural and educational campus hub, the APID Resource Center will co-create culturally affirming programs, uplift student leadership, preserve and amplify our diverse histories, and advocate for inclusive education. In close partnership with APID student organizations, on and off campus partners, and alumni, we will cultivate a legacy of mentorship, storytelling, and sustainable empowerment that inspires future generations at CSULB and beyond.
