Seminars & Workshops
On March 20, 2023, the project team presented an informational session describing the grant and its purpose to members of the campus community. See the slides from this session here: (pdf).
Beach Time Workshops: The Beach Time Workshop series, open to all faculty, was initially offered in the Spring 2024 semester as a 3-part series combining remote and in-person sessions. While the major focus of IFWEL is on organizational change at the department, college, and university level, Beach Time offers an opportunity for individuals to:
- Learn why workload equity is important for faculty satisfaction and career success;
- Learn about some of the most common “time saboteurs” that faculty encounter and try out strategies for reducing their impact;
- Examine their own time use patterns and the many demands on their time;
- Consider how to say “yes” and “no” strategically.
