These are essential resources for students to use during their time at the Beach. Whether you need physical care, mental health support, help meeting basic needs, or ways to stay active, we are here for you. The resources below are organized to help you quickly find the services that most students use, followed by more specialized programs.

Basic Needs

Basic Needs helps students meet essential living needs such as food, housing, and financial stability. We support students experiencing crises by addressing these essential needs outside the classroom. By reducing these barriers, students can focus on their education and overall well-being.

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)

Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) provides confidential mental health support, including individual therapy, group counseling, crisis support, and wellness workshops. Licensed clinicians help students navigate stress, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and other personal challenges.

Rising Tides (A Peer Program of CAPS)

Rising Tides is a peer-to-peer support program where trained student leaders offer workshops, outreach, and conversations about mental health and well-being. It provides students with approachable, student-centered spaces to talk about stress, relationships, and navigating college life.

Student Health Services (SHS)

Student Health Services is your on-campus health clinic, open for virtual and in-person appointments. We provide primary care, preventative services, immunizations, reproductive health care, treatment for illness or injury, and laboratory, radiology, and pharmacy services to support students’ physical health. Student Health Services also offers Behavioral Health Services and coming soon – Dental Care!

Student Recreation & Wellness Center (SRWC)

The Student Recreation & Wellness Center (SRWC) is CSULB’s state-of-the-art fitness and wellness facility offering gym equipment, fitness classes, intramural sports, and wellness programs. It supports physical health, stress reduction, and overall well-being through movement and recreation.

Beach Balance (A Wellness Program of ASI)

Beach Balance offers workshops, coaching, and educational programs that help students build healthy habits related to sleep, nutrition, stress management, and overall lifestyle balance.

Find Help Now

Find Help Now is an online tool connecting students and their families to urgent, confidential crisis support both on campus and across five Southern California counties. If you or someone you know needs immediate help, this resource provides clear next steps and access to 24/7 support.

Bob Murphy Access Center (BMAC)

The Bob Murphy Access Center (BMAC), ensures students with disabilities have equal access to academic programs and campus life. The center provides academic accommodations, advocacy, and support services to help students succeed.

Club Sports and Recreation

Club Sports and Recreation offers competitive and recreational sports teams allowing students to stay active and build community. Participation promotes leadership, teamwork, and physical wellness.

Safer

Safer provides confidential advocacy and support services to students, faculty, and staff impacted by sexual harassment/assault, relationship violence, or stalking. The program also offers prevention education and resources to promote campus safety.
