CSULB Community Gospel Choir Invites You to Sing, Celebrate, and Come Together

The spirit of unity and joyful celebration is rising in Long Beach as the CSULB Community Gospel Choir prepares for its upcoming concert on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 11:30 AM. This vibrant event brings together students, staff, families, and community members to experience the power, history, and joy of gospel music, guided this year by special guest instructor Ananias Montague.

The CSULB Community Gospel Choir is open to all who want to lift their voices and be part of something uplifting. Whether you have years of singing experience or are brand new to choir, this is a chance to learn, grow, and contribute to a truly inspiring musical experience. 

Rehearsals will take place February 16–20, 2026, from 7–9 PM, hosted at Park Church (1901 Palo Verde Ave., Long Beach, CA 90815). These rehearsals give participants an opportunity not only to learn the music, but also to connect with neighbors, students, faculty, and families in an environment rooted in joy, collaboration, and shared purpose. 

The final concert will be held at Bethany Church (2250 Clark Ave., Long Beach, CA 90815). Doors open at 11 AM, and the program begins promptly at 11:30 AM. The event is free of charge, making it accessible for all who want to attend, celebrate, and support the choir. 

Families and community members are warmly invited to enjoy the performance, experience the richness of gospel music, and witness the beautiful ways music can bring people together. 

This event is more than a concert; it is a moment of community building. Participants and attendees can look forward to, learning the history and heart of gospel music and connecting across generations and backgrounds. Participants also indulge in celebrating creativity, culture, and shared humanity by experiencing the unique energy that comes from collective songs.
