The College of Health and Human Services is about helping people enjoy happier, healthier and safer lives.

With more than 1,700 affiliation agreements with community partners, CHHS develops the next generation of leaders in health, wellness, business and industry, and local government and non-profit agencies. Opportunities for Investment

A Transformative Space

Create a transformative space that will support the expansion and reimagining of our work in several high-priority areas so CHHS can prepare the health and wellness workforce of tomorrow to meet the evolving and wide-ranging needs of our diverse communities. This state-of-the-art building will promote interdisciplinary study and research, provide modern shared lab spaces, and offer the community a 10,000-square-foot clinic with specialization in older adults, sports medicine and executive health.

Clinical Care, Prevention and Health Disparities

Increase the number of students entering the workforce as clinical practitioners who have the knowledge and skills to address health equity through the social determinates of health. Investments in clinical education will expand access to student learning experiences in centers, clinics and health-related community projects.

Performance Eats @ The Beach

Students and faculty will conduct research to inform prescribed meal plans for student-athletes. The program will advance interdisciplinary research, transformational learning and student-athlete health and performance outcomes.

Center for Successful Aging

Create a community resource center to link older adults and their families with university and community-wide resources that support successful aging. In addition, the center will house varied programs and services that give faculty-mentored students opportunities to work with older adults to help them overcome barriers to successful aging.
