Expert says El Niño could bring new wave of sharks to San Diego

Chris Lowe, director of CSULB's Shark Lab, explained to the San Diego Union Tribune that while juvenile great white sharks have largely abandoned San Diego’s former nursery—likely due to shifting prey and conditions—an expected El Niño could instead bring more unpredictable species like tiger, bull, and hammerhead sharks into local waters.
