CSULB Instructor Offers Clues Why Voting Turnout is Low

Assistant professor in political science, Matt Lesenyie, provided the Long Beach Post with possible reasons why voter turnout has been relatively low this primary election season. Dr. Lesenyie suggests voter turnout may be linked to no "anchor" at the top of the ticket that people want to vote for or against. It could also be because many politicians higher on the ticket, like Governor Newsom, are not campaigning as strongly as they have in the past.
