Larin Sullivan
Larin Sullivan is a writer, director and educator. Born in Los Angeles, she received her undergraduate education at Mills College in Oakland and completed her Masters at Columbia University, School of Arts, earning an MFA in Directing in the Film Division. She has been working in film and TV since beginning her career on the programming team at the Sundance Film Festival, later returning to the Institute to head up in-house content creation. Her feature film project, The Young King, which she wrote and will direct, is supported by the Tribeca Institute, The Gotham, Women in Film and InsideOut Toronto. Building a reputation as an up and coming director of short narrative films, music videos, branded films, and half-hour documentaries, her work bridges archival and documentary practices and traditional dramatic narrative, with an interest in underrepresented stories and storytellers.
