Congratulations Dr. Kelly Young on receiving the Wang Award!

Dr. Kelly Young, co-director of the BUILD Research Enrichment Core (REC) and mind behind Advancing Inclusive Mentoring (AIM) has been selected as a recipient of the Wang Family Excellence Award for Outstanding Faculty Innovator in Student Success.

The AIM program is a mentor training program developed at California State University Long Beach as part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Building Infrastructure Leading to Diversity (BUILD) Initiative. The overarching goals of AIM are to provide a variety of engaging faculty training resources to promote student success through positive and inclusive mentoring. While this program was originally developed at the CSULB campus and is known as the “Beach Mentor Program” here, the program has expanded, with over 600 professors completing AIM, across 11 CSU campuses.

Kudos to Dr. Young on this incredible recognition and accomplishment!
