General Laundry Expectations

To keep our shared spaces clean, safe, and accessible for everyone, please follow these guideline (click on each to learn more):

  • Laundry facilities are for current residents only
    • Do not allow non-residents (friends, family, or guests) to use the machines
  • Avoid overloading washers and dryers. Overloading machines can lead to:
    • Clothes not being fully cleaned or dried
    • Water leaks or flooding
    • Machine damage
    • Potential fire hazards

  • Remove lint from the dryer after each use
  • Check the lint trap before starting a new cycle
  • Make sure you take all of your items when you leave

  • Empty all pockets before starting a load
  • Loose items can damage machines or other residents’ clothing

  • Set a timer on your phone to track your laundry cycles
  • Remove your laundry promptly when cycle is finished
  • Do not remove another resident’s laundry from machines, even if cycles are complete

If a machine is broken or malfunctioning:
