Mental Health Support

Our Student Housing and CSULB staff are here to support you through your journey at The Beach, including moments where you may be facing personal challenges or mental health concerns. Student Housing works with our Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) team and Student Health Services (SHS) partners to provide mental health support to students through our Counselors-in-Residence and Housing Care Coordinator.

Counselors in Residence

Our Counselor-in-Residence, Dr. Clarissa Green, is a counselor within our Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) office who sets aside time to work directly with students living on campus who have a need for brief therapy services that are confidential, free of charge, and do not go on a student's record. Students can make an appointment with Dr. Green by calling or coming in-person to the CAPS office.
