My time at CSULB has been both grounding and transformative. As a transfer student, I arrived eager to find my place and quickly learned that involvement was the key to feeling connected. Through student government, housing, campus recreation, and athletics-related roles, I found purpose in building community and advocating for student well-being.

Some of my proudest moments include serving as ASI Commissioner of Wellness Affairs, supporting students as a Resident Assistant, and working in athletics marketing and wellness programming. These experiences helped me understand how leadership, communication, and sport can be powerful tools for connection and impact. CSULB has shaped not only my professional goals, but my identity as a leader who values service, inclusion, and intentional community-building.

I chose CSULB because of its strong kinesiology program, its emphasis on experiential learning, and its commitment to student involvement. As a transfer student, I was searching for a campus that valued growth beyond the classroom. From my first semester, The Beach offered opportunities to lead, serve, and build meaningful relationships that helped me feel at home.

After graduation, I plan to pursue an MBA with the goal of working in community relations or social impact within a professional sports organization. I am passionate about using sports as a platform to strengthen relationships between teams and the communities they serve. Long-term, I hope to help develop outreach initiatives, partnerships, and programs that promote access, wellness, and representation through sport.

I plan to stay connected to CSULB by mentoring future transfer students, remaining involved in campus and alumni events, and continuing to support wellness and athletics initiatives by applying my knowledge of fitness to programs like Camp Nugget and 49ers Camp during the summers. The Beach played a critical role in shaping my path, and I am committed to giving back to the community that helped me grow.
