2021 Honorary Degree Recipients

 

CSULB awards a select number of Honorary Degrees infrequently, only when recognizing lifetime achievements and exceptional contributions to The Beach, the honoree’s field, and society at large. This high honor is bestowed on individuals who contribute to the advancement of the university, set an example of high ethical standards, and inspire through their work, service, and philanthropy. Honorary Degrees are approved by the California State University Office of the Chancellor and are conferred at Commencement by the college granting the honor.

 

Mario Giannini

Mario Giannini is the Chief Executive Officer of Hamilton Lane and sits on the firm’s Investment Committees.

 

Raymond and Barbara Alpert

Ray and Barbara Alpert were true pillars of the community and of Long Beach State University.
