Laurie Huning is an associate professor in the Department of Civil Engineering and Construction Engineering Management at Cal State Long Beach. Huning spoke with the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences about a research paper she co-authored that suggests our future winters will have less snow and more rain. She said the West may see low-to-no-snow future become more persistent in 35 to 60 years.
