My time at CSULB has shaped my future through the experiences I’ve had, the memories I’ve made, and the people I’ve met along the way. From building a strong network of peers who supported me and helped me grow professionally, to studying abroad, to the simple moments of walking through campus between classes, I wouldn’t trade any of it for the world.
When I arrived at the Beach my freshman year, I had no idea what to expect. I rushed a fraternity in my first semester and met friends from all over the world, each with different backgrounds and perspectives. Those same friends later interned alongside me, participated and won BeachHacks with me, and shared countless unforgettable experiences both on and off campus. Participating in clubs and student organizations on campus, such as ACM, Google Developer Student Club, and in leadership roles at my fraternity played a huge part in shaping my campus experience.
Looking back, I realize I should have known from the start: my four years at the Beach would become the best years of my life.
I’m from Southern California, so staying close to home and in a climate I’m used to was a large factor. CSULB also has an undisputedly beautiful campus, and Long Beach is such a culturally vibrant and fun city. I remember my first time visiting campus right after making my decision that I just couldn’t wait for the time to pass and for me to start here.
I’ll be entering the industry as soon as I graduate following my internship at LinkedIn this summer, while continuing to build my entrepreneurial projects on the side. With the tech industry evolving so rapidly, I’m excited to follow opportunities as they arise and apply the skills I’ve developed at CSULB.
I plan to stay connected to the Beach by keeping in touch with friends, both alumni and those still on campus. I also hope to give back through alumni mentorship opportunities and by returning to campus for events and involvement with student organizations.
