Hillside Village

Hillside Village is located at the southwestern part of the university and is the closest of the colleges to the central university. Hillside provides traditional or suite style living within nine buildings, each housing a range of 45 - 200 students. These halls offer residents single and double occupancy rooms.

Hillside Common Halls

Hillside Suites includes six two-story, carpeted residence halls with a contained suite design. Each building houses an average of 45-100 students. Hillside suites includes four general housing buildings and two communities: International House and LGBTQIA+ House. All the buildings are co-ed with self-contained, separate locked suites for men and women located across from each other. Each building has a laundry room. Hillside Buildings, A, B, C, D, E, F, and International House DO NOT have Air Conditioning.

The Hillside buildings are served by the Hillside Service Center, a central customer service office, which offers many services including mail distribution, building tours, reporting of building issues, and the checkout of games and equipment. The Service Center also provides a study area which may be used by residents during regular office hours.

As part of Hillside Village, our newly renovated two-three story traditional halls are set closest to campus and classrooms. Each building houses an average of 210 students. Hillside Traditional Halls include one general housing building (Los Alamitos) and one Honors building (Los Cerritos). Both buildings are air-conditioned with separate floors or wings for men and women. Each hall has a shared kitchen area for residents to use for thier convenience. View building layouts here.

Most residents find that the traditional design significantly enhances the opportunity to get acquainted with other students. Both halls have laundry facilities on the first floor.
