The Summer Conference Program at California State University, Long Beach is proud of our campus and pleased to share information about our services as you prepare plans for your upcoming conference. “The Beach” conference program provides comfortable accommodations, meeting spaces and dining services from early June through mid-August.
The Pointe in the Walter Pyramid
Located in the northeast corner of the Walter Pyramid, the Pointe is a first-rate facility for conferences, banquets and receptions. The Gallery reception area provides a unique backdrop for each occasion. The Pacific Sunset Room, provides banquet space for up to 200 people, theatre style seating for 350 or may be divided in half to meet the needs of smaller programs. More intimate seminars and programs of 20-60 people may be hosted in the Frank Bowman Summit Room. Read more about conference services at The Pointe.
Summer Availability in Campus Residence Halls
California State University, Long Beach provides housing in our residence halls and dining in one of our two dining halls. All rooms are double occupancy and include two beds, two dressers, two desks and chairs. Bed linen is provided for your comfort as well.
Dining & Catering
Dining services provides a cafeteria style dining experience with a variety of food selections, including a fruit and salad bar as well as a pasta bar. We offer a variety of options to meet most dietary needs.
Catered events are available through Choura Venue Services, CSULB's official caterer. For special meal requests, our conference staff are available to assist you.
Ask us how you can enjoy a barbeque at “The Beach” —it makes for a special welcome for your conference participants!
Airports & Attractions
Located in southern California, CSULB is accessible by three airports: Long Beach, Orange County and Los Angeles. Local attractions include the Long Beach Aquarium, Queen Mary, Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm. Don’t forget to enjoy the southern California beaches as well.
We strive to make your experience a ‘one stop shop’. Remember to ask us about other campus meeting spaces, outdoor recreation areas (such as fields, swimming pools, basketball courts) and indoor recreation areas (such as dance facilities, gymnasiums, racquetball courts). We can assist you in securing classroom space, use of the University Student Union and its games area, theatres, computer labs, as well as other special requests that are unique to your conference needs.
