Dear Beach Community: At Cal State Long Beach, we have unique opportunities to live, learn and model the values we embrace. Election season – however contentious– is a good time to remind each other about those values.

In this video, university leaders help me discuss politics in the context of our working, learning and living spaces. I hope you will take a few minutes to watch and consider the freedoms we enjoy and the responsibilities that come with them.

As always, even when discussing differences, we must respect the rights of all and extend kindness whenever and wherever possible.
