Professor interviewed for research on new program supporting unhoused students

Rashida Crutchfield, a professor in the School of Social Work at Cal State Long Beach and Executive Director of the Center for Equitable Higher Education, was interviewed by the online education journal EdSource about her research on student homelessness and her evaluation of a new pilot program, College Focused Rapid Rehousing.

Crutchfield found that the program promotes student success by offering immediate housing support along with sustainable, long-term solutions, rather than relying on short-term fixes.
