Biology professor explains how king tides impact coastal areas

Christine Whitcraft, professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at Cal State Long Beach, described to the Orange County Register, the awe-inspiring cause-and-effect of king tides on the coastal environment. Whitcraft, who also runs the school's Wetlands Ecology Lab said she loves the drastic fluctuation of the ocean during king tides and shows "just how cool the ocean is."
