Dietitian discusses ways to prepare beans

            Amanda Sauceda, a registered dietitian and lecturer in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences at Cal State Long Beach, commented on the nutrition content of canned and dried beans for an article in verywell health. Sauceda said that dried beans may be easier on the stomach for some people because the carbohydrates that cause gas are leached into the water when the beans are soaked before cooking.
