Whether you are launching a new career or seeking advancement in your current position, this 12-month certificate program—offered in person or hyflex—will provide you with the tools to thrive. 

In this program, you will receive a combination of theory-based instruction and hands-on training. You will learn how to translate texts from different genres, edit translations, navigate the translation marketplace, and analyze the process of translation as a socio-cultural, ethical, and linguistic intervention/operation.  

You will develop a skillset that includes audiovisual translation, machine (or computer-assisted) translation, literary translation, community translation, localization, cognitive translatology, and transcreation. And through professionally oriented webinars, you will acquire the skills necessary to set up a freelance practice, covering such topics as business promotion and billing.
