The responsibility of University Police Department staff are to: Ensure that any work-related injury or illness, to which they are a responder, resulting in hospitalization or death, is verbally reported to the Workers’ Compensation Manager within 8 hours of its occurrence (See Accident Investigation Section).
The responsibilities of the department staff for the College of Natural Science and Mathematics are to:
Students shall follow all established EHS requirements for their campus. They must attend/complete all required EHS training and follow the procedures described in the training. Students are responsible for ensuring their own safety and reporting identified hazards to faculty, residential assistant, EHS or University Police.
Student Workers and Official Volunteers are responsible for reporting all identified hazards to their appropriate administrator. They must attend/complete all required EHS training and follow the procedures described in the training. Training must be timely and in advance of the assignment of duties.
