Deputy Executive Director of Public Safety and Security, Los Angeles World Airports

Dave Maggard leads the Public Safety and Security efforts for Los Angeles World Airports. He is responsible for airport security, policing, counterterrorism and emergency response efforts at Los Angeles International and Van Nuys General Aviation airports.Prior to his service in Los Angeles, Dave spent nearly thirteen years as the Chief of Police in the City of Irvine. He has served thirty-five years in public safety positions throughout California.Dave received a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from California State University, Long Beach and a Doctor of Education from Pepperdine University. He was presented with the Alumni of the Year award for the CSULB College of Health and Human Services and served as a Fellow for the CSULB Ukleja Center for Ethical Leadership.
