Chemistry (CHEM) - S/I Leaders

Matilda is a Biochemistry major from Seattle, WA. She hopes to pursue medical school after undergrad and understands that a good foundation in chemistry is important to succeed in any scientific field. She hopes to pass on her love for chemistry and good study habits to her SI class. In her free time, she enjoys running and catching late-night movies. 

Quintin is a Pre-Nursing major from Stockton, California. He became an SI leader to help students who may struggle like he did in the course by helping them reach their fullest potential in the class. Quintin enjoys baking and playing badminton. He plans to become a Registered Nurse in the future. 

Estrella is a Pre-Nursing Student from Ontario, CA. She hopes to become a neonatal nurse practitioner in the future. She became an SI leader to help students balance chemistry with other classes and stay motivated throughout the semester. In her free time, she loves drinking matcha, going out with friends, playing the violin, and reading mystery or romance novels. 

Kelsey is a Psychology major with an interest in physiology. She became an SI Leader to provide a supportive environment to help students master difficult course content. She hopes to become a mental health nurse practitioner one day. In her free time, she likes to read and go on walks.  

Valerie is a pre-nursing major. She became an SI leader to connect with students by easing their stresses and worries when it comes to a challenging course. She aspires to become a labor and delivery nurse in the future by obtaining her BSN. She is also interested in pursuing a career as a travel nurse. She wants students and her peers to feel safe and welcomed in their journey here at CSULB. 

Zachary is an undeclared student previously on the pre-nursing track and is now planning to major in Biochemistry. He became an SI Leader because he understands that science classes can feel intimidating, and he wants to show students that with the right study tactics and a genuine sense of curiosity, learning chemistry can not only become easier but also enjoyable. He is passionate about sciences and loves understanding how the natural world works on a fundamental level. In his spare time, he enjoys lifting, running, and diving into random rabbit holes of science topics while listening to K-pop and K-RnB. His ultimate career goal is to attend medical school and become a doctor, with aspirations of becoming a surgeon.
